Buzzing sound while moving?

For about the last week now I hear some type of buzzing sound. The sound gets faster with the speed of the car and obviously slower as i go slower so i know it's nothing to do with any type of exhaust leak because there's no difference in how it sounds under any load. if i get up to speed then completely let off the gas thats when i can hear it most because there's no engine sound being made. I can not figure out what the freak this is for the life of me. i looked in all 4 wheel wells and all fender walls are how they should be not rubbing the tires or anything. just didn't know if anyone else has had this happen because of possibly a part going bad?

Hmm wheel bearing or transmission issue is the only thing I can think of at the moment, but your description of the sound being a "buzz" throws me off. Any other description of the noise, can you get it on video. Try jacking up each wheel and spin them by hand see if anything seems odd. Does it make the sound when you're coasting and put it in neutral or does the sound go away when you do that.

I said the same thing. Hopefully it does do it while in neutral. Wheel bearing issue is much cheaper then a new transmission

yes it does it in nuetral. i know it isn't the tranny. it sounds as if it were a rubbing sound. like a wire loom rubbing an axle, tire etc. it's not extremely loud either. if it is a wheel bearing how much is that to replace and does it have to be replaced asap? cause i definately can't afford it right now driving to and from school.
