CA V1 header. Help?

Got it installed today, with new gaskets as well. The power gain is there, I like it.
Heres the problem, from the outside it sounds fine, but when your inside it sounds like a moped/ kid with a baseball card in his bike spokes. Like something is lose. I really dont know how to explain it, thats the best I can. It sounds horrible.
I have seen/heard this header on other LSJs. But mine sounds bad for some reason..
And this may have nothing to do with anything, but the coolent temp is getting up to 212, thats the most its ever been.

sounds like you got an exhaust leak... didnt tightened down the header bolts all the way or where the gasket is.. the smallest area can cause that.

possible flex pipe if you replaced that too

I got that same exact sound when I installed my d/p. I was really busy the first couple of days so I never got around to it and it has went away.

I am, becouse if it is the flex pipe, they broke it. Another reason I pay to have things done, so im not responsible when things mess up.

Bump for more help.

Anyone else have an idea whats wrong?

ca v1 headers have problems with the pipe hitting the coolant passage pipe that sits under the header.. it puts a slight pressure on it, and allows coolant to bleed out, and air in..

idk if thats whats going on with yours or not, but that is a common problem of that header....ive had one

^ I have heard that, but more people would have complained about this sound. I have red alot of reviews on them.

The sound is so bad that if the header automaticly caused it, CA would be out of bidness.

Not forsure??? which leads me to believe it was something else. Hope you figure it out. The sound you described was right on with what I heard from mine.

look to see if the header is hitting that coolant pipe. if so, use a pair of vice grips and rotate it.

The shop is going to look at it and fix it monday. I will ask them to check.
I'm not driving the car right now anyway.
