I have them and they are only required for reving past 7500 rpm.

On the drag strip, as a general rule he who shifts last wins....but not always thats why its a general rule I hit the rev limiter in first (7k) doing burnouts ( I can do that now, no power hop)
well with my tiburon i used to run to 7200 at the track the engine didnt make power past 6400 or so... so when i started shifting right after it stopped making power i actually made it down the track a bit more quickly... but that was a totally diff car diff situation and well you gotta go with what you know. thats why i ask questions

I want to see what the jbp triflows do but they apparently don't think actually verifying gains on a dyno ensures sales so...

From a few friends experiences they did nothing except change the power band. Shitty cam imo.

colors, cams, date that it was done. street numbers, not OMG dyno numbers.
red - gmr - 7/5/08
green - 272 - 2/10/08
blue - stock - 10/27/07

red was 11.6 afr. 20 degree's of timing
green was 12.0 afr 24 degree's.
blue was 12.4 25 degree's of timing.

im aware of the torque differences. there is a reason behind it. timing has a part of it, but the bigger part of it is compression ratio.
sorry bro but waht cam do you use.sorry but i dont understand can you explain me. sorry and nice work

*slams head on desk*

The chart you quoted is a comparison of 3 different cams, the stock cams, HKS 272 regrinds, and GM Racing cams.
Also, listed below the chart, is the AFR and timing associated with each dyno run.

Try not to compare the actual power listed on the chart, but rather the shape of the power and torque curves and how the power is delivered.

I looked through the sticky in the 2.2 section, about L61 and LSJ swappable parts, it lists the exhaust cams between the two not being interchangeable.

but read this

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/store/PDFS/ECS.pdf

it states that...well hell let me paste it in here....
The 2006MY L61 cams can interchange with LSJ cams, both intake and exhaust. These cams are
the exact same profile, only at different timings. The 2006MY L61 timings are 116 intake, -103
exhaust. The LSJ timings are 100 intake, -115 exhaust
the reason I ask is because I was wandering about the Comp cams "blower grind" for the 2.2

Excellent job of doing some research for the community. My only issue is that the comparison was not kept consistent. The AF ratio changed and as we know, these cars make more power as they get leaner. Timing was not the same and that greatly affects HP past 6k rpm.

Also, power adder and blower pulley size were not given. If the blower pulley is too small, it's going to be a limitation and skew the numbers on all runs. The variables should be eliminated. Same AF on all runs, same timing, larger blower pulley. Then we could see a true difference. I'm actually kind of suprised that the differences between the cams are so small, it's strange.

In our findings on the dyno, with a stock cam and car with exhaust, it's easy to make power keep climbing well past 7k with modifications to the PCM. These charts are showing fall off after 6500 and I think it would be a false conclusion if one were to think that it's a limitation of the cam or head.

all runs were done with a 2.7.

with the meth mix i run. leaner does not make more power. the timing was varied due to either weather, or personal choice.

GM probably doesn't have them anymore, but they had over 10 sets that all sold, and so far I know of only 3 people that actually used them. Best bet is to find a used set (there are at least 2 sets that have come back out of cars I know of), or find someone who bought them and never used them that would sell them.

I may be able to get you a set, used for a couple miles but otherwise perfect. PM me an offer.

Make that 4 people I know of.

I also know two other people locally that have a set but haven't used them as far as I know. And one in Texas I think. So that's 7 sets I can account for
