Don't really want to sound like a newb, but for a 4cyl, what power gains would I yield from adding cam gears to the balt. Also what exactly do gears do? also would I need a tune afterwards? thanks

 

there are easier ways to make more power, don't waste your money. cam gears enable users to match cam timing with your cars tuning state by advancing or retarding the cam profile, if you don't know much about tuning you shouldn't be messing with these or kiss your engine bye bye.

 

The only benefit to getting the adjustable cam gears is that you can easily make changes to your cam timings without changing out the cams. This is good if you are doing work to the car or want to be able to adjust your cam timing for different needs. If you don''t know what you are doing or don't have a way to see what the changes you are making are doing to your car, then you could definately do some serious damage. For the normal cobalt driver there is no reason to get these. It is more beneficial to spend the money and get an actual tune done.
