Does anyone know if these cams would work for the ss/sc? i want some cams really bad, but it sounds like everyone is having trouble with the JBP cams and the ones from Crate Engine Depot seem like they would just be a headache. i havnt heard of any other companies that make other cams either.

I found a set a while back that is made specifically for the Cobalt. I think I have a bookmark at home, I'll post it here if I can find it. I can't remember though what Balt it's for. I know it would fit my 2.2L, but now that I have a 2.0L I haven't checked back.

They won't work. Your only choice for cams for a 2.0 at this time are reground stockers.

Same ones. Comp doesn't make any that will work with a 2.0. The ones stated from the LSJ build book were from blanks provided by GM performance division.

Just get the sockers reground, they have a ton of material at the base (when the valve would be closed), so there is a lot of room to regrind. I'm getting mine reground.

The big cam companies will regrind your stockers for about 100-200 dollars to any spec you want. If you get too wild with them, you'll need shims for the lash adjusters, available from Bates Engineering.
