alright.... bought a set of cams from bates engineering a couple of months back and finally got around to putting them on. He didnt have adjustable cam gears at the time so he told me just to put it on the factory timing, that it shouldent make a big diff. when i put them on the car would not start, and it would back fire.... i was like wtf did i put the timing on wrong.... which i was sure i didnt because i triple checked it... did a compression test to check if timing was good and read about 160 psi per cyl. decided to disconnect camshaft position sensor, and when i did, the car started up and ran. I then began to tune it and found some weird things going on.. I saw as soon as i got off the throttle, coasting down, my IAT2 would sky rocket. Like up to 180-190 range... even into the 200.... it would do this in a matter of seconds... and when i got on it partial throttle, it would drop very fast as well. i have tried to do some research and have found nothing.... i called ray at bates and he told me he had never heard of that.. any ideas of what it might be?? any help will be greatly appreciated!!
