Here is a link to the Exedy spec sheet. Let me know if it works or not. I posted this long ago.

My numbers were off a bit, but there is what they sent me.

Well, notice the huge difference between Circuit use and Drag use. Drag puts a lot more abuse on the car's drivetrain.
I am sure GM didn't design the car so that everyone would drag it. If GM even had any type of racing in mind for this car, it was for circuit use. They design cars under the assumption they will be driven as nice little daily driver/grocery getters.
BTW, there are a lot of people making nice power with stock clutch still perfectly fine, that goes to show that these numbers are very underrated.

LOL CM couldnt even get their Single setup to work on these cars...and your gonna try their double. They even admitted they never R&D'd the car and offered refunds to dissatisified owners. I went thru 3 version and 0 worked. They also destroyed the synchros in my transmission cause the clutch wouldnt disengage on shifts.
Went to an exedy and it worked like buttah. Tho I yanked mine yesterday and the pucks look real thin. Anyone have a pic of their clutch disc before they installed it...preferable a side shot or one where i can see the depth of the exedy pucks?
Exedy said their twin disc really isnt even gonna be streetable more like an on off switch. I feel confident that the exedy will handle 500whp considering the clamp load and type of friction material used.

Well if that's the power they theoretically can hold, then maybe.
Bill hahn said they've tested the new CM unit and it's pretty streetable on the twin disk, one kevlar and one ceramic disk. He said it worked great. But I need something that will hold up to 600whp eventually when I go with the bigger turbo or race gas.... but we shall see since that's pretty far down the line.

not bad then, yeah I had installed a cm fx400 on a friends car and it was horrible. I even grenaded a CM clutch in my rx-7 and almost lost my foot.
Ok Exedy it is then lol.
and area I was thinking about that, might give it a try if and when I grenade my tranny. I wouldnt want the full race version though as I still would like to drive the car on the street

manual valve bodies on the street are fun!
lol
i has jokes.
the sad part is. you can find a 4t65e pretty easy out of the v6 cars grand prixs. the hd just means that it has hardened parts inside it. sad part is, they hardend the wrong parts. mine blew its guts at 385 whp, and 421 ft lbs.
you can get a built tranny to hold the power you want for a lil while. im not sure what gm does to make it last a season, or if it even comes close.
sometimes i wish the kids on here didn't run off the big name phase5 racers, or the gm sponsered people so questions could get answered.

yeah I hear ya on that man
lol my last 3 cars were reverse manual valve bodied cars that I drove on the street, TH350's with 3:73 and up gearing, that was not an enjoyable ride on the highway.
I have 2 trans guys locally that do race tranny's but I dunno, maybe build 2 and rebuild other wwhen one blows up.

you're going ***** out. might as well do it all at once.
remember. the ss/sc tranny is rated at 258 ft lbs.
we have pretty much blown that out of the ****** water.
manual valve body = no more roll racing

good idea on that one. I'll give em a call today.
I'm just really worried about the trans, not that it's ever given me an issue, but I know what it's rated for tq wise and I'm way way above that now, and that's with the small turbo and stock motor.
And area you can Roll race with a manual valve body tranny, I've done it with a 4000rpm stall converter. It's just a huge kick in the ass when you romp on it lol.

I was the other one here that worked with CM on their clutches. I had three different versions in my car until they finally friggin got it right. I sold the last version that worked with a new disk to a buddy after I got my Exedy. The Exedy clutch is way friggin better in all aspects than the CM ones PERIOD! That's also the reason that I got a Competition Clutch for my Integra, they have lost my business due to all the headaches and $$$ they caused me to loose. Paul contact Exedy on a twindisk setup. I bet they'll work with you or have something in mind. I'd also be willing to be the Hypersingle will hold quite a bit of power before it lets loose. As the ****** grabs real hard no matter how I'm driving! I love it!
exedy it is. My stocker has come back though, I dunno how this thing is still holding power. I don't know if it';s gonna like the 60-1 though lol. But when I do the motor I'll be putting in the Exedy too since why put back in a 30k mile stock clutch that's been beat to **** since 4500 miles (I did a very long break in on the car)

Pants shitting time.
Paul, I would be worried to about the trans. I've found and proven 2 times already they are not that strong. People say I need the driver mod, but I think I've just managed to find all the car's weak spot after building up everything else around it!
A quaife 6 speed gearset would be nice for the spare broken trans I have, but that $4K plus having someone put in the gearset is what is preventing me from giving it a whirl.

yeah I'm hoping they release it in a already asssmebled housing, that would be nice.
lol I know, I can't wait. now just need cams.....

the single fits my needs. the dual disk is a bit over kill for my setup. might be something worth while for the 400+ hp guys though.
the single is rated for 35X ft lbs.
i'll give exedy a call later and see what i can pull out of my ass

unless you guys like popping in transmissions a quickly as tictacs then I would suggest running an automatic transmission. the F35 can handle alot of power but 600HP would make this transmission meet its demise quite quickly.
