hey paul is there any chance of CA selling the kit w/o a turbo?I have a friend that wants a kit and will buy the CA one but he also already has a GT2871 turbo, so do you know if they will sell him a kit w/o the turbo a discounted price, and how much you think it will run?

Paul, I have a few questions for you. I already have axles, clutch/flywheel and solid mounts. My drivetrain is strong so if I wanted to do a turbo swap along with internal work I could see over 350whp? I'm guessing with lower compression pistons with a forged motor and the right turbo and of course tunning I could see over 350whp+?

As for buying the kit without the turbo, I"ll find out for ya, probably be able to get it for @$500 cheaper or so, but don't quote me on that as I haven't discussed that issue with Kenny yet.

yea thats what i am running, A gt2871r turbo, so i am thinking it will be a monster at the autocross track! cant wait till its done! Oh and my friend has a cobalt ss/sc as well and he already has a gt28 turbo and he wants to swap it onto his cobalt, so will CA sell the kit to him w/o the turbo at a discount u think?
What I came up w/ was that the GT2871R-472560-15 would be a nice fit for a LSJ lookin' to push about 350-375whp. Especially one looking to keep a somewhat decent throttle response for road-track and street applications. It would definately take a very well thought-out setup that took advantage of the tight spaces in our engine bay and keep pressure loss to a minimum and volumetric efficiency at a maximum.
BTW - whoever was asking about deleting the stock Lower I.M., you would probably gain 15-20 degrees IAT2. I would expect to see 100-115 depending on the size intercooler used and charge piping material...

You don't know how amazing it would be to actually have solid numbers to assess what our strengths and weaknesses are in the induction end of this thang...
I would love to see a comparison of our stock Lower I.M. to the Hahn manifold.

lol true... just a little bit harder to navigate my engine compartment these day.
btw found the last exhaust leak... damn wastgate flange, Got it a little better tonight, but working on rediculously hot piping in the dark isnt the best idea. Puttin her up on jackstands tomorrow to tackle anything else I can find wrong
