No, you can run with the stage 2 tune and no cat. You'll get like 4 codes, but you'll run.

You can drive your car without a cat and without a tune, but it will not run as wells as it could. More importantly, if you are driving around with a bunch of codes, ignore it and then something pops. Evn if you put your stock stuff back on, the computer will store those codes in the memory and you will be f-d warranty wise. I really do not suggest running without one because it is illegal. If the police catch you without one, your car gets impounded.

Hehe.. Yep, I just read the packing slip on my exhaust box and tip.. It says Borla Industries. Shipped directly to the dealership.. Thats odd.
Exactly the same as the borla. Just not as polished. Saved 400 bucks

Get an aeroforce gauge or some code reader so you can clear the codes if you take the car out you will need it. unless like you said get the tuner to disable those dtc's

shouldn't be a problem for a tuner to clear your codes w/o the cat. I am going to be runnig catless as well. And I'm not sure but I think the 02 sims may work so the CEL doesn't come on
