cat/muffler noise ?

cat/muffler noise ?

well the wife has started to complain about the car being to loud. so i wanna know if a high-flo cat will quiet the car down? or do i need to change the muffler out? my set up as follows 4-1 header 3" back no cat and magnaflow muffler any idea what i can do?

I cat will quiet it down quite a bit but if that doesn't do it get a new resonator for your system I hear vibrant makes a good one. I know when I put a cat back on with my setup it made it much quieter still loud though lol

Do you have longtube headers? If not ZZP makes a nice downpipe with a cat I have been very pleased with mine.

you can get a cat and get a muffler insert ( don't call it rice) it worked fantastically on my car .. they sell them on jegs, patriot auger muffler insert long as you have a straight part of the exhaust thats longer then 14" .. it's made for 3" ID piping as an FYI so if your piping is 3" OD you'll have to do a bit of grinding to make it work..
