Catback Systems

Currently I am running on a ZZP header and downpipe (highflow cat) with stock catback and a mangaflow muffler. I am finding this way to "tinny" and am looking to get something deeper and less "raspy". The downpipe has a 2.5 bold-up and im looking to see what you guys think I should do to get a nicer sounding exhaust. A new catback? resenators? brand? size? thanks.

And what about red rims?

Just playing man, I will be getting rid of my Megan pretty soon. Sounds like **** after a while.

And to the OP there are other catbacks you don't have listed as well........

Yea, I have the megan too. worse thing i ever did to my car. anyone that says it sounds good obviously has never heard a decent sounding exhaust. I put on a CTI header/downpipe and it sounds even worse now. I'm not driving my car unless it's to an exhaust shop

Yea I am still debating about what to do with mine. Probably a 3" CTI catback or the Hahn.

If your mods are too many to list like in your sig with a lot of power only one exhaust comes to mind.....Hahn. I have the Megan as well (1 year now) and I'm getting tired of it as well.

Everyone is just gonna say what they have for the most part. I have the ARK N2 and I love it. Its been on my car since October '06, so needless to say, its held up great. But I know the big angled canister isn't for everyone.

yeh I think im sorry, I know that there are other types of catbacks, I just didn;t know which ones to list or not. Now I only have a 2.5 exit on my down pipe.... Should I run a hahn 3" with a 2.5 bolt up ? can you get hanh in 2.5"

HAHN header, downpipe, catback. i didn't have enough time to put the header on so right now its just the downpipe and catback. sounds amazing. i can't wait to get the header on there. its what bill is calling a "tuned" header. where the collection pipe actually starts spinning/twisting the exhaust flow in a tornado or spiralling type of flow

2.5" header outlet. 2.5" downpipe inlet. 2.75" downpipe outlet. 3"catback.

i love the look of this header too. not only is it well made. its well engineered

since the firing order is 1,3,4,2 they designed the collector so that it fires and enters the exhaust in a clockwise spiraling pattern. lik

1-3
2-4 going clockwise. get what i'm sayin?

Yeh for sure... Now I have a ZZP header and DP with a 2.5" bolt-up.... Does it make any sense to bolt-up a 3" hanh catback?

you can. it will bolt up just fine. you will just have .350" overlap all the way around, bolting up the 3" catback to a 2.5" downpipe

ease of flow, not as crazy and turbulent as having them all enter at the same time in random locations

the power band has definetly shifted lower, but it feels like the power gain up high is even more...? different results from most people. the downpipe and exhaust probably ahd somethign to do with it
