Exclusive removable Modular downpipe connection allows stock downpipe now, makes it easy to upgrade to a larger downpipe later!

thats it what they say.... asuming from the picture that you can remove that little end, inorder to switch it and upgrade to a 3" DP later on

split the stock resonator off the DP and take a measurement . My stock res. measured 2 and 1/16th of an inch on the inlet of my stock LSJ catback. Just a heads up cause it looks like you did alot of work on the catback to still have such a restriction.

Still thinking Hahn in the best bet. I want to get ride of ALL the raspyness. I'm embaressed to rev my motor over 3 grand because of the sound. that with header and dp, stock catback with muffler. That is why I want to switch it to something very high quality and that is HAHN.

That seems like you pieced that all together, not really anything great and your not seeing any gains that are worth anything. You pretty much wasted ur money on the GMPP header... oops I guess i shouldn't call it a header cause it isnt....

yeah. catless sounds like ass. sorry, Jim. And I mentioned about the shitty stock resonator. that thing is puny inside.
I'm thinking about str8 piping my resonator and going with a 2.5" mandrel over-axel pipe into the stock muffler with a 2.5" inlet/outlet.

I hate the sound of my exhaust right now. IMO my 2.2 LS sounds meaner...

All in the name of $$$$$$.

At the horsepower levels we are at, I couldn't justify what, a $1000+ for a full exhaust?

How does my car run Bika?

How will it run with meth?

Do you honestly think it would be that much faster with a full exhaust?

you and schaeffer sound like a couple of honduhs
Buy my glasspack resonator and replace your stocker. Dont waste your money on a full exhaust

yes you will run better with meth injection. it wont be like "zomgwtfNAWWWWZ!" But it will keep you IAT2 down, I can throw in more timing (which I know you love), and I can lean out the afr a little.
HOWEVER, I will not TOUCH your car with meth unless you fork over the 200 bux for a mother effing wideband. I've been telling you that should be the first thing on your list.

Its not a header nor is it advertised by gmpp as a header.

I know I didn't waste my money.

I have been modding cars for 20+ years, there is nothing you can tell me I haven't already heard, especially about exhaust, especially in our horsepower range.

maybe it would sound "better", but if I wanted "better" I would drive a V8.

I am not saying that the many aftermarket systems aren't nice or don't show gains, but don't tell me mine is worthless.

You really need to get rid of the stock Res. Or try a dremel on the inlet collar. The collar is about 2 inches long then it opens back up to full size. I was gunna try it but i kept my GMPP exhaust but put the stock muffler back on. The new DP made my car way louder than i wanted.

so the major restriction is at the neck of the resinator, not the body?

Yep you will see it immediately when you look. the collar is the restriction , there might be enough meat on it to dremel it a bit . Looking inside the body it opens up quite a bit size wise , i have no idea how it flows compared to an aftermarket one thou.

I never said your exhaust set up was "worthless" Jim.
I said it sounded raspy. I liked my gmpp header and wish i hadnt sold it for the c/a v2 header. it didnt do anything.

CA V2 header, ZZP d/p with high flow cat, custom 3" stainless cat back with flopro res and muff. LOUD, like kinda embaresd drivin down my street loud. Like the sound deep and throaty with a bit of rasp. But loud. If I didn't have the cat it would be over the top.

I wanted to barf! sickest thing I have ever heard. I was able to get in touch with Hahn through e-mail and I have some info if anyone is further interested

no prob, sometimes when words are in text they sound like critisism.
I did have a new resinator welded in today.
I looked at the stock resinator inside and it is small, especially at the neck.
Its much quieter, not near as raspy.
I am guessing it flows better because both necks are 2.5" and I completely removed
the flanges.
Will take it to the track this friday and see where the improvements are.
