towards the intake. and be sure to take the filter out of the oil/air seperator. or it will cause problems down the road.

the air still has to go down through the separator channels, it doesnt just pass straight through. just remove the pourous filter and screw the plastic holder back in. that filter likes to plug up with oil because its meant to handle airflow of a compressor (100psi) not a slight draw through of maybe 5kpa.

I have mine spliced in right next to my ecu. its right infront of the brake booster line. do not mount it behind the engine, it's too hot because of the exhaust manifold. i will take pics sometime...

You dont need any extra hose. just cut the stock hose once and put it inline. I cant remember the fitting size but it was roughly 3/8" hose fittings.

I have one of those eBay canister type catch cans sitting on the floor since December and have't installed it yet, partially because I have not determined where to mount it. I was also worried that the hose isn't large enough to pull the air out of the crankcase.

The ones Bika and myself are talking about at air/oil separators off a air compressor. all we do is remove the porous filter inside of it and get 2 3/8 male fitting and two small hose clamps. Both of ours are in place of the vac. line right by the ecu. want me to go out and take a pic really quick. The setup costs about 20$ and work just as good as a catch can.
