I just got full 3" exhaust put on my car and when i woke up this morning my check engine light came on. im sure its no big deal but just wanted some feedback of the cause so maybe i could check on it. it was a little warmer last night compared to today if that makes a difference. thanks ahead of time

 

just exhaust... that shouldn't throw any CEL. Now if you put a new downpipe with your exhaust it is probably detecting too much flow.

 

Yeah i got a new header and three inch catless downpipe too

 

catless downpipe is your problem right there.

You would have to use HPT to get rid of the 2nd oxygen sensor on your PCM to get rid of the CEL I believe.

 

...and you're surprised its throwing a code?

 

LOL. not really i figured it had to do with that but you never can be to cautious.

But once i get it tuned it should be fine right? can i run like it is without any problems?
