CEL after airbox and silicone hoses

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone else in these forums has been having propblems with the check engine light coming on and off. The only mods I have is a cone filter and some silicone hoses. Any suggestions? I dont want to bring it to the dealer to find out what they are becuase The manager there said if i trip a CEL after my modifications he will void my warranty, ( what a nice guy huh?) I have already Reset the ecu twice. After i reset it the light goes off but then re-appears anywhere between 25 and 500 miles later ????????

Any help would be a great help .. Thanks

No he can't void your entire warranty because you modified your car; Even if there is a CEL.

It's probably a fuel mix lean bank 1 code, go to autozone and they will read it for free normally.

I have a cone filter installed right of the stock maf sensor with a silicone hose . No cel's for me at all after about a month now . Check to make sure there is absolutely no leaks after the MAF sensor . Any fresh air in the intake tube after the maf sensor ( i.e. unmetered air ) will cause driveablity issues and a cel .
