I have a stage 3 pulley on and have driven in 20 degree weather without issue , i'm at about 500ft asl. Mine hasn't thrown a CEL but i guess it could depend on other mods that u might have . I don't think going from a 3.06" to a 2.99" is that great of a leap , and thats why i did it cause i don't have any cooling mods or a custom tune .

I'd say just take it into the dealer , i doubt they will be able to tell a stage 3 from a stage 2 pulley.

scan the code. otherwise there's zero help anyone can give. if the car is running ok, there's nothing to worry about. for some reason, people see a cel and think it's the end of the world.

scan the code, then take it from there.

Ditto D4u2s0t! Not the end of the world. Stage 2 GM tune has diagnostics and he has a stage 3 pulley. The diagnostics are calibrated for a stage 2 pulley. Get it checked out.

What do you mean exactly? I read the stage 3 instructions and it said when driving on the street the GM stage 2 tune was perfectly fine with the stage 3 pulley, without the piggy back ecu .

You've got me. I haven't read the instructions with the stage 3 pulley. I do know the stage 3 kit comes with it's own unique pcm;

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P1724C196.aspx

and I know that installing a stage 2 kit on a stock SSSC without flashing it will give you problems.

This is in the STAGE 3 FAQ on CED's site

What if I want to use my Stage 3 equipped car as a daily driver?

The production PCM with the Stage 2 reflash will perform acceptably with the Stage 3 hardware. The Stage2 reflashed PCM will also maintain the A/C feature of your vehicle.

the code is still stored. you should check what it is just to be safe. it should be stored till it's deleted, even if the light went off.
