Ok guys a lot of people have asked this question and got a lot of different answers in response. I would like to know what is a cheap and effective way to modify my exhaust for nice sound and minor hp at my local exhaust shop. What if I modify the last 1/3 of the exhaust and put on a new muffler what kind of hp and sound should I expect ? anyone done this ? Also I want to leave my cat alone because I do not want to throw a cel code.

 

so get a cat back exhaust. pick any muffler that flows better than stock and have them custom make the rest of the tubing. make sure it is mandrel bent and not crush bent so it will flow better. also try to use at least 2.5" piping or more. depending on how much HP u plan to acheive 2.5" will be good up 300.

 

All you need is a new muffler, it already has a 2.5 mandrel bent pipe stock. That is what I did and the sound is great. Just make sure you shop around and get the right muffler.

THank you for nice link to thread and as far black..... buddy learn to read I said CHEAP and effective mod if I had money to throw away on a catback exhaust I wouldnt be asking
