Injen Installed!
Injen Installed!
Well I got home at 330 today to see my intake sitting on the front porch. I then sat around till about 5 and then cuz I knew this would take a while. It took me about 2 hours to install by myself. The major pain in the ass was the remove and reinstalling of the wheel well...when looking at the how to pictures i thought there would just be like 3 bolts and that the wheel well was 2 pieces and you just take the front piece off. No such luck...it took me a good 45 minutes just to get this off. The only fitment issue I had was with it poking out the damn bumper...it's almost like the pipe is too long or its not bent right or something. I almost took it too my uncle for him to try and bend it a little but there was no way in hell i was going to reinstall the stock intake after all that ****.
Anyways I finally got everything put back together (except the bolt that is on the rocker panel under neath the doors...it was dark and i couldnt get the screw to catch so i said screw it ill put it on tomorrow (hopefully it wont fall off going down the road lol)
I took it out for a drive and I can tell a slight difference in power but the sound...wow its awesome. By the time I got done driving my DIC said the MPG was 14...haha.
Well its time to go find my SRT4 buddy when the weekend goes around to see if the intake gives me the edge I needed to have my car actually pass him rather than just have him at my quarter window. We shall see!
*I got the chrome one BTW*

nice. do you have a 2006 SS/SC? because if so you should check this topic
2 hours and you have to take off the wheel well? :O
from what i've heard the difference in hp is more noticeable after the computer has time to adjust.
so i assume things fit correctly? just tight? because from judging from what some people said, there are fitment issues.

It's not necessarilly tight but its too long or something and it pokes the bumper out.
