Check engine light

so my cel came on bout a month ago and hooked it up to my uncles computer and said it was running system to lean bank 1. Im away at school so i didnt have time to bring it to the deal cuz its still under warranty so i finally get up there yesterday and after an hour there the guy comes in and says the oil cap was missing(either came off driving or the last time i brought it in they didnt put it back) so they say that was the problem and i leave. half mile down the road it comes back on so i turn around and bring it back in and i sit fr another 3 hours and they say theres some timeing issue and they dont why its running lean yet so i had to leave and i made an appointment in another 2 weeks when im back from school. Si when i leave the dealer the cel light is still on and about 4 hours later im drinving home from my girls house and i realize the ****** thing went off........ the SS is killing me right now idk if its fucked up or not? anybody else ever have an issue? should i bring it back in 2 weeks cuz they told me theres some timing issue? someone give some advise. anything would be appreciated!

The CEL will go off on some codes, if the condition is resolved. Or if the light burns out. Does it still come on right when you start it, then go off? Alot of times dealership guys are idiots. Aperently they have no clue whats going on with your car. Take it to Autozone, have them scan the codes, they may find a P0171 (System Too Lean Bank 1) Have them delete it and see if it comes back.
Its possible you had some bad gas, and the fuel system had to add more fuel to compensate, then you got some good gas and it corrected itself.

BTW: Check for leaks in your hoses and intake ducts.

Ya check for air leaks under the hood.
If its still under warranty, make them
give you a rental, and give them your
car and tell them not to give it back
till its fixed! The longer they have it
the longer you have the rental so it'll
behoove them to fix it quick.

Maybe they fixed it and forgot to reset it.
Go to Autozone or Advanced and have them run a code check,
If your good your good

If your CEL came on after you installed a new intake
Best way to get it to go off, is get your PCM retuned for
the intake.
