i love it. very high quality, the best header ive seen for a cobalt. spend the extra and go for the stainless 4-1 with 1.75 primaries. i dont have the downpipe, i built my own and rest of the exhaust. i have no cat, a huge resonator and magnaflow muffler, it sounds great.

iirc they do make a 2.2l header. it is a mid length, so it is longer. this will make more low and and mid range torque compared to a shorty header. all you need to do is run the matching header and downpipe and it all bolts in.

I love my CI stuff...

Really good customer service, and its built as you call, these arent mass produced. Im sure they have a frame to work around, but either way, each header, is YOUR header.

I dont really know how to compare sound when you change your header, i guess i didnt really pay attention enough, all i know, is that its a awesome product.

No cat = loud and raspy... a 50 dollar resonator will take care of that...
You might NEED a cat, check your local laws.

I have the setup with the cat and downpipe. The difference was night and day. Car is much louder, and pulls much harder, espcecially in the midrange. The quality of the product was unreal. Fantastic welds, finish, etc....

People that ocassionaly drive the car were amazed at the difference after I put the Clear Image setup on the car. I have also had no issues with cells, leaks etc. I never even got around to rechecking the bolts after I put them on. (WIll have the car up this weekend and will check then.)

I am going to be contacting them about the exhaust system next. Think I am going to stick to 2.5" though, dont want the car too loud and ricey.

it wont work at all with the stock downpipe. about the only way to do it is what i did, and thats order the coupler peice to hook to the ball flange on the header (it doesnt use a flat flange) and use that to start and built your own downpipe. you are better off just buying their downpipe. the only reason i didnt is because the previous owner of my car had a custom 3" system built and it didnt have a seperate downpipe, was 1 peice with the exhaust. i redid my exhaust system before hand, but i never had the downpipe to catback flange in the same location as stock.
