clutch help

Ok so I rebuilt my whole engine installed a new TOB and all everythings going good but I tried to bleed the clutch it wouldnt bleed it was sucking in air I noticed I didnt have the little o-ring where the bleeder connects to the transaxle I got a new one installed the o-ring tried bleeding it and it wasnt bleeding I then close the bleeder and look at it and when the clutch press in I see fluid come out from under the plastic clip that connects to the transaxle. what do you all think it could be? could the lines not be tight enough on the TOB do I have to pull the trans out what to do?
