I went to the track and with me in the car(235) and not much gas on the scales I was 3122

 

I weighed mine at Rockingham Dragway at 2880lbs. with a 1/4 to 1/2 tank of gas. No junk in the trunk, but that was with my 17" Rota's in my sig pic and not the stock 18's.

 

Man, these cars are just as consistant in weight as they are performance wise for a stage 2. Some are heavy and some are lighter. Stage 2, some are fast and some are slower.

 

Very good point, goes for stock dyno numbers and stock 1.4th mile passes too.

Not pissed off at you, just some people thinking a cobalt can weigh close to 4k pounds is a fcing joke. My comment was not directed at you I know a 2005 Dodge Magnum with driver and 20 inch rims, 5.7L Hemi engine weighed in at 4100 pounds on the scale so I knew the balt was no where near that

 

I weighed mine with full tank of gas and nothing in the car that didnt come with it from the factory + me in the seat was 2980

 

Well if you think about it. Lets say you have a sunroof. A rear sway bar, a strut bar, traction bars and are a big guy, such as myself your car is going to weigh more and go slower than the cars w/o those things.

Looks like the average is 2900lb without driver.

 

The coupe weighs in at 2681 lbs and sedan at 2747 lbs.

 

2950 With me in it, empty gas tank (maybe 2 gallons)

2005 SS/SC, sunroof, no G85.

 

where does the weight come from? Not that 3k is that heavy but my 01 v6 mustang was 3060lbs without driver.

 

Cars are getting heavier... damn safety requirements
