Cobalt SS blew engine, what now??

damn if i lived closer i would SOO buy this thing for 3K...When i replaced my engine, it was $1200 for one with 30K on it... If you get 3 guys that know what they are doing you can swap engines yourself in 2 days ( 1 long day if you have a lift and everyone knows what they are doing)

3 weeks after i had gotten my cobalt it threw a rod out the side of the block. I know were you are comming from it was about 3000$ to fix, but i got a sport motor put in instead of the regular 2.4L

2005-2007 2.0L LSJ is what you are looking for. Our motor is not limited to just the cobalt thus the additional year

In taht case you mean 04-07? the Redline came out in 2004 the Cobalt SS in 2005. any LSJ should bolt right up.

theres some LSJ's in your area for 1500

hmm, 3k, or take the car, get a motor and have someone put it in for a total of 2-2.5k, or just fix the piston if that's all it is for even less, and have a 9k car...i think i'll go with the car lol.

meh salvage title he could still throw a used motor in it and sell it 6k or so at the least really
