Cobalt SS/SC

Ive been all over this forum for quite a bit, and my question stands as:
Im going to be buying a Cobalt soon, from the looks of it, its gonna be S/C, i've seen numerous amounts of people saying just Turbo swap it, Using either ZZP/Hahn, For obvious reason it gives better Hp/Tq at top, due to the LAG at Low Rpms Im not so interested in Top End, going 120+mph down the freeway/streets doesn't really strike my interest. My interest is Going the fastest 0-60, Since the turbo lags somewhat, im more inclined to stay S/C i just want to ask, am i wrong? Does the S/C (doesnt necessarily mean Stock) pull better to go faster (Don't care about top end, seen endless posts about Turbo = better), Or will Swapping Turbo have me at a faster 0-60 than just upgrading/replacing my S/C with Modified parts, This does include other Mods (Intake,Exhaust,Tune,,Ect).

This is a very scattered post, but I think ur trying to determine which is better off the line, I guess it really does depend on the application. Legitimately the lnf (turbo) will probably be faster, but yes u will have to deal with turbo lag, and the limited fuel system. The lsj (sc) with a turbo will be about the same car as the lnf accept it has a much easier fuel system to upgrade. As far as I am told the gearing on the tranny is a lil did, and just a tad better, but I could be wrong on this. Now if you are doing something like autocross, then yes a sc in my opinion is the way to go, hence no lag, but u will be limited to power with this route, with the stock supercharged you probably will not surpass 300 HP, and with a Tvs, you prolly will not surpass 400hp. Up to u either way, I went sc

You'll be happy with the SS/SC I've had mine since 09 and LOVE it. I put down 249/223 last week at my local dyno shop and I just have a 2.9, 42's, intake and exhaust and custom tune. I have not had one problem except for the I/C pump which was cheap and replaced in my driveway. Although i would like to pick up a turbo balt because of the almost endless power potential I am happy with my S/C and the beautiful whine . If your looking for a great 0-60+ car this is it, and for the price you can't beat it (well maybe a ls1 car) and it's damn reliable.

Good Luck!

To start with get all bolt ons and a 2.8 pulley and u should be around 265hp add meth or e and a 2.7 and u can be in 290s. If u need more power add a tvs 1320 supercharger and u wil be over 300 easy, i think iv seen a few around 320 to 340 depending on tuner and if meth or e is added. U wont have turbo lag like u are talking about. I personly like te supercharger more also due to the instant torque u can feel at any time but everyone is different so they will be people here that will say go turbo or go home. Ignore them if they do.
