Cobalt ss/sc pulley swap question
Cobalt ss/sc pulley swap question
I am upgrading my pulley and injectors and was curious to know when I buy a new pulley can I just buy a pulley or do I need a new hub and do I have to buy the modular pulley system? I'm trying to not to break the bank with this so any help would greatly be appreciated
2.8 without cooling mods is pushing it. It is better to spend the money now and buy your supporting (cooling) mods, then pulley down afterwards. Also, get your intake/exhaust taken care of before swapping the pulley. If not, that will immediately become your bottleneck.
If you don't run the supporting mods, your car will not like you very much... just saying.

Here is my 2.9 with 60's no cooling mods at all.

That is my normal drive home in traffic. At a light I seen 140 but cruising in traffic at 60 or so I stay around 122 with a 100 intake temp.
I'll do a WOT run with cool down after wards and post that up but I have never seen it go past 160 at a light after getting on it.
Also note that my pump was reworked by myself and is really pumping it the fluids at a steady pace.
