it depends on your mods. and you would need to hook it up with the stock heat exchanger also

Cobra Heat Exchanger is alright. the problem with it is it is about the smallest core out of any H/E out there for our cars. If you go with ZZP, they say there is no fabrication needed to make it fit but there is, unless you take out your stock H/E to make more room. I myself went with the OTTPerformance Heat Exchanger. By far probably the best deal you can get on the market. Their kit comes with mounting hardware, brackets and hoses with all clamps. Everything you need for the install except more coolant. OTTPerformance did a lot of testing to figure out what core size did the best job at lowering IAT2's, comparing it to the CXRacing H/E's, both big and small and consistently got 5* to 10* lower IAT2's with their kit vs the competition. The best thing is there is no modifications needed other than drilling 2 holes for the mounting brackets. Fits perfect and looks great.

Never, cooling mods are never a waste, regardless of if you are stock or running a pullied set-up. Ralliartist ran a 1.9 60' with a 1/4 mile time in the mid 13's on a stock pulley set-up with just cooling mods. Goes to prove that cooling your IAT2's will result in a faster car because you aren't dealing with any heat soak issues. Most fail to realize just how much heat the Eaton produces.

I did a logged pull from 40 in 2nd to the top of 3rd gear. My IAT2's peaked at 127* with ambient temps around 85*. I did a second logged pull after the Install and my IAT2's dropped down to 113* on the same pull with about the same ambient temps. You notice more of a difference up top than in the lower gears.

I agree with you that cooling mods are never a bad idea. But if I am remembering correctly ralliartist had traction mods on that run including slicks. That had a huge role in the time he achieved
