What exactly should I replace? I am confused between the bypass valve and the bypass solenoid.. Thanks for any help!!

My car will only go above 10psi with the boost bypass mod (blocking off the vac hose)..

you probably shouldn't be blocking that hose, the system is that way for a reason. I though this was found out long ago?

Yes, I know. But this is the only way to test and see if this is exactly what is causing boosting problems. Now I just need to know exactly which piece to replace.

oh, sorry i guess i misread the op.

have a buddy watch it when you rev, see if it tries to move. Pull it out and see if it's clogged or dirty. Even with it blocked, you still only get 10psi?

something isn't right. The actualtor is what mades it move, there may be something in the vacuum/boost lines. Try seafoaming it, see what happens.

No, with it blocked (Bypass mod) I am seeing 17psi again. I think the solenoid is fucked.
