I had no knock until the meth pump broke on a hot and heavy battle with a FP Red cammed STi block in a bugeye WRX. He really killed me needless to say!

^^ There is no way the mounts are the cause of the code.

Actually, he rotated the entire engine/axles, and is now throwing a Vehicle Speed Sensor code - that makes complete sense. He changed the angle of the drivetrain, it's not surprising the speed sensor is acting up.

Just as a sanity check, I'd check to make sure the plug into the speed sensor is secure and didn't wiggle itself loose or something. That might resolve the P0503.

lol @ all the dickriders in this thread though. Really shows how much fanboyism wins over logic.

If he is having as bad vibes as he is saying.. ANYTHING could be thrown off... ANYTHING ESP sensors

whether or not its the way the mounts were designed to operate or not, or if they are the actual cause...it is a substantial possibility

Did you let the engine hang too far down or lift it real high up while doing the install? Did you pinch or otherwise damage a harness or wire while doing the install?

Its not the mounts causing the problem, although it could be the quality of the install causing the problem.

Its not extra vibes causing the problem because ive had car with blown trannie from wheel hop, that didnt have a P0503 set, tons of idiots have done massive smoky tire hopping burnouts and the P0503 is still a rare code, if those vibes dont set a code, its obvious that whatever mounts you have wont set it. As an FYI the race cars run solid aluminum mounts, are driven harder, longer than any Cobalt on this site and they dont trigger P0503's.

dainslaif what a bogus POS this statement is, you know your car??? If it is a redline it has an external VSS a fixed bracket to the block off the intermediate shaft, with a fixed air gap to a toothed wheel on the intermediate shaft which is locked into a fixed position between the out put shaft of the trans and the bracket on the block at which point the pass side axle inserts into it. The angle of the drieve train is changed? Like a Grand Am racing Cobalt? Heck You can turn the frickin motor UPSIDE DOWN it dont make any difference to that vss, BUT rodimus has a cobalt it has an internal VSS off the diff ring gear. Your statement is so silly I am surprised you didnt read what you wrote. The angle of the drivetrain has ZERO NADA ZIP to do with the VSS. What a joke. You are the dickrider.wOW. I thought you knew something about cars a bright guy. I was wrong.

the substantial possibility here is that Rodimus screwed something up on the install. Not the mounts. Get a grip.

Well today i loosened up all the mounts shook things around a bit and retightened everything, still shakes like a bitch and its kinda annoying, cleared the codes

I dont even know where the vss sensor is to check it

Ive yet to try a dry launch on these the day I put them on it was raining and i was spinning all over and most of the wheel hop was gone but there was still a touch of it but much much better than I ever experienced before. I can't break first loose mostly because I have the boost cut so much to make the LS4 driveable. I'm going to start at 1500 rpm and just work from there gradually upping the boost

I have NGK plugs on order the BKR7Es should be here any day and I can get rid of these shitty autolites. I'm also going to try a different tune for the 60s from Brianthelion, he says his don't have the idle issues mine does so hopefully that fixes the misfire codes

exactly. Go to a pro tech before you point fingers at things. You may find the finger is pointing....at you.

so the other day a Corvette customer came in with an abs fault. we found the fault whoever put the clutch in the car trapped the abs wire in the torque tube to bell housing when bolting it all together So Iguess you could say the goldarn torque tube failed the abs, damn torque tube is no good.

Moral of the story: When putting parts back on, don't tighten bolts that have wires in between the pieces your installing and cut or damage them..

Thats something that would happen to me..
