codes p1101 and p0101 help.

i got an 06 cobalt ss sc and im throwing codes p1101 and p0101.now i know that p0101 is maf and p1101 is air intake code. since i got the car the cars been going lean but running fine now since these 2 codes came when i start the car it idles real high then almost dies out and sometimes it does once the car is warmed up it idles fine and runs to a point where i can drive but once its turned off and i start it again it does it all over again, now when the cars driving feels like theres no power and in between shifting it feels like its bogging out..im not sure what the problem is but i did order a new maf and it will be here friday. Now my car has a cold air intake vibrant header and downpipe and megan racing cat back. please if anyone can help me out that would be great thanks.

If u have a intake tune for it or take it off. If u don't have a intake check for a vaccum leak. If no vaccum leak or boost leak then go to the route of either failing maf sensor, or exaust leak for lean code

it came with the intake and exhaust and ran fine but threw a lean code every once in awhile then it would just go off then flex pipe broke about a month ago then i put the header and downpipe on and it was running good til just 2 days ago when i tried to start it and it wouldnt stay running for a few mins then eventally after 10 mins it was running.

you need to tune for mods. Maybe the cars not tuned unsure... but make sure its getting fuel and spark, lean code could be because you have a exaust leak.

dOubt your maf is the issue. Clean ure throttle body plate for the bouncy idle. Dealership can not tune u because all theycan do is mfg
tunes so they can't help

if your car was running like how i expained it and if your throwing the maf performance code i would change maf and for the new codes that came up to lean in bank 1 im not to sure yet but im looking into a place by me to get it tuned so maybe that will take them codes away.

Ure intakes or exausts will cause this. Po172 usually means your car is commanding say 14.7 but u are actually like 14.0 and so forth which would be caused from performance parts that have not been tuned

Interesting, any reason this would happen 3.5 years into having the AEM intake installed?

haha heres the kicker, light went on today on my way to lunch around noon, drove home went to store and the cel was gone! Seems to turn on at idle. I was suprised even though its the stock intake.

I think my plan is if this light stays on i can go to the dealer. But i cant go there with no CEL or they say they cant fix it.

What a pain in the ass!

haha well if it stays off intakes the problem and then pretty much all you would need is a tune with what you got.run it the weekend with stock intake and see what happens
