cold start-stumbles...

ok guys. I have a stupid issue I cant get rid of. only on cold starts... as in the car has to sit overnight for this to happen.

starts right up.... runs for maybe 3-4 seconds, then stumbles and fights to idle for 10-15 seconds... then runs perfectly fine. no issues or anything when running, no stalling or anything. it throws a code.. P0300- random misfire which doesnt help much

mods: stage 3 pulley, ported blower, cai, catback exhaust, 60lbs, tune.

any ideas or thoughts?

I vote the tune then.... Maybe something isn't set right, its worth a shot sending over your tune, I am more then willing to take a look at it for you.

Do you know what it is if its not the plugs? I know these cars toss the random misfire code on the daily but I figure changing the plugs would be easier then changing his tune lol, actually maybe not haha.

spark plug gap can do many things but doesnt fit the symptoms...ez changes that dont work coz they dont fit the symptom root cause analysius are not worth anything. I am sure Area knows but thats a paid tune response not a freeby sorry also i dont get that these toss a random misfire (I am assuming you mean its commonplace and sets a code) as I certainly have not experienced that with any of the tunes I have had

if the plugs get hosed down it can cause a misfire until said fuel is burnt.

in a nutshell so to speak

hey better watch what you say when you are out of town, I know where the RL sleeps

To the OP I believe what these guys are dancing around is that you should put some new plugs in see if that works if not than its in the tune.

plugs never did anything. when I got the car... it did the same thing and whoever tuned it was an idiot! AFR was 7.9 at wot. wtf!!.. one of my best friends is a tuner and has tuned countless GM cars and he has it now.. we changed the plugs the day after I got it.. they were soaked in gas. they didnt change anything. we did a rough tune and need to finetune a lot still. im hoping it stops with just more tuning.

do oyu guys think my 60lbs could cause this on startup?

not if properly tuned. I know some people have had idle problems when they switched to 60's but a good tune fixed that.7.9 at wot is dangerously rich

its not the idle prob. its cold start only.... turn key on.. start car... runs for 5-6 seconds then stumbles for 10 seconds... then the car is perfectly fine all day. idles perfect. it has to do with the cold start injectors. could my 60LBS be to much? I doubt it but you never know. I have hp tuners and there is no way to change to start up values.. or am I missing something??
