Common problems?

What are some common problems specificly with the SS/SC model that I should know about before diving in and buying one.

I know the clutches seem to go out, what else is there?

Dude not to be a dick, but you need to search there is a LONG list of things can start problems. Use the search button and just look.

But on that note, the clutch is FINE. Its people's driving that is flawed and makes the clucthes go bad.

One thing to learn man, all your answers CAN be found if you take time to look and it keeps the highly repeated stuff of the forum.

Sorry bro to tell you the truth I just now found the search button when you said that. I tried looking for it the other day and couldn't find it.

Thanks.

btw about the clutch thats what I figured I drive a 98' s-10 4.3 V6 standard with the stock clutch on it and it has about 150k miles and it still shifts amazing

try different things. there are threads on hwo to use the search button.

Read this and try using the search.

Don't think I'm trying to be a jerk, I'm not, but we HAVE to cut down on the highly repeated stuff that this forum gets. too much repeated stuff and not enough REAL information around.

So I suggest deleting this one and look around. you'll find all sorts of things you never knew

Wheelhop is a problem you will have to deal with. Search for wheelhop to see what some of the solutions are.

Only thing really flawed here is your conclusion.

TONS and TONS of "bad low-mileage clutch" threads abound.

My own clutch was diagnosed by the dealer's Master Technician (only 70 of them in the country) as having a faulty/leaking slave cylinder.

So with only 7k on the car, my clutch was completely replaced under FULL FACTORY WARRANTY.

Wake up dude ...
