Comp Cams

so, i was doing a big of digging around in the comp book earlier today.

happen to come across a 2.0 and 2.2 ecotec listing on cams. from all motor to built turbo setups.

anyone have a valid opinion on these things? they do have a blower style cam. was just curious to see really.

It won't work in a 2.0. They don't have a provision for the cam sensor.

The ones that GMPD used in the 300hp build book were a one-off ground by comp with blanks provided by GM. In an email they stated they don't have anymore and were not sure if they would release any blanks to the public.

are the cams a weak spot? cause everyone and their mom wants them. why is bill hahn talking about400+ without opening the engine.. ? i dont think you even need them. not bad enough to have custom ones made.. just wait till proven cams are out there

I'm not sure what he charges now, I have the info in my cam thread I think.

Wasn't really a headache at all. Worst part is finding someone that can actually grind them and provide lifter shims.

Why does Comp Cams still list them for the 2.0 ?

Seems that we need a pressed-on hex bushing ?

Best bet is to contact Comp Cams and/or Crower about making some custom grinds. They actually shouldn't be too expensive either
