compatibility between 2005-2006

i just ran across a power pack out of a 2006 and am looking at just dropping the entire thing in my 05 car.

is the longblock/tranny a direct drop in from a 2006 to a 2005? if it's not, what sensors/wiring is different?

thanks for any info, it is greatly appreciated

ok, I"m assuming that you are talking about an '05 ss supercharged and an '06 ss supercharged since you posted in this section.

If so, then yes, everything should be direct fit. No problems.

Question for you, what's wrong with your '05? blown engine or something?

it's been beaten, bashed and rebuilt 3 times and has 70,000 miles on it. the other engine is low miles driven by a friend's wife and 100% stock. i wasn't sure if there was a difference in the electronics, thanks for the info.

not sure what go faster devices will be bolted on to this new engine to break it in lol

should be the same, some wiring harness' might have some different color wire (well they do unfortunatley) but other than that same harness' go to the same sensors

a wee bit longer because we only have one lift, but definitely done in a day, and we have to of course put a big ass clutch in the new tranny. the last stock one i had disintegrated

as far as I know you can pick up the spec disc and pressure plate, also exedy makes an OEM replacement which should be a bit better than stock.
Sucks too because the stocdisc really isn't that bad, pressure plate has too little clamping force. I pulled my clutch out at almost 38k miles and the disc still was like new, pressure plate on the other hand was glazed a bit and heat marked (damn 400+whp lol)
