Compression Checks

I did compression checks today.
I did it with the engine at about 90F (After sitting all night and before driving it today)

My results are
Cyl 1: 196
Cyl 2: 215
Cyl 3: 216
Cyl 4: 218

The 196 has me slightly concerned, however
according to my GM Technical manuals that I
bought from a vendor on here:

Lowest Cylinder should not be less then 70% of highest
No Cylinder should be less then 100 (Good)

70% of my highest (218 X 0.70) = 152.6 PSI and I'm well
above that with Cylinder #1.

When I did the checks,
I took all 4 coil pack off (labeled them so i could put them back in the same cylinder)
I unplugged the injector wire harness so that fuel would not enter the cylinders

I cranked the engine for approx 5 seconds per cylinder.
While cranking, I heard a "pop" sound. Not sure what it was.
Sounded like two blocks of wood smacking together, or when
you pull a suction cup off of a surface. Hope it wasn't anything
bad.
Spark Plugs looked alright, a little white on the outside of the ground
electrode, the rest had a bit of black soot on it, that I cleaned off with
a wire brush.

Okay, on the first check it read 185, Then after doing the other 3, I re-did #1 and it was up to 196, but I think it'll be alright, I have like 56K on the car now.
