which connecting rods to go with?

i am planning on building up my 2.0 s/c motor and i planned on using the 2.0 lsj diamond forged pistons and i was wondering which connecting rod would be the best? anyone have any personal experiences? any suggestions on where to pick them up from?

Stock rods are forged and have been proven over 500+hp, no need for aftermarket rods unless you are going uber crazy.

true story.... not that im shooting for that, but the man is right they arent really needed

you will prolly have 2 run a standalone ecu before needing rods

Well now you can spend the funds else where in your build!

I agree that some it has been proven to be good up to 500 HP, but some pistons have also gone 350-400 HP and others barely over 270-300... There is still a possibility of them not lasting and if you are going to be putting pistons in why not change the rods if you are going over 400 HP. I know they are near 800 dollars but they are good to over 1000HP.. Just a thought, some people might not agree with me, but its better to put them in and be safe, rather than them snapping one the ef'ing up a lot of **** in the engine..

Stock rods are well above 400hp.

Pistons are a different story, they arent forged from factory...

You are going to do ALOT of work to hit over 500hp, even then, rods will hold up...
