My friend with an SS/SC just started his job w/ me and now we are taking turns driving. Anywho, we noticed his coolant temp go up a lot more than mine does in traffic. I realize boosted cars heat up a lot easier, but I wanted to make sure this is right....

My 2.4SS typically sits at 198 degrees and climbs to just over 200 in traffic. His SS/SC got up to 223 degrees today in traffic. He has plenty of coolant, so I was just making sure this was normal.

 

Yes,it will get that hot before the fans ever turn on

 

yea, mine does the same thing. No need to worry, when the fans turns on, it cools down quickly.
