CORSA install question?

I just installed my Corsa Sport Cat-Back and let me tell you this things purrrrsss. It has an awesome low note at idle and screams at WOT and the cabin noise is not bad at all. Crusing it's quiet. Anyways my question is that after I installed the exhaust the 45 lb ft tq specs they gave for the TORCA clamps didn't seem like a lot so i tightened them down pretty good. I know it says to tq them at 45 lb ft and then recheck and tighten. By tightening them more than 45 lb ft, would it harm the exhaust at all at those points where the clamps are or will it be fine?

from my experience, should be fine.

i just recently installed a Borla exhaust on and STi and disregarded the instructions (as in im too lazy to waste my time reading a basic installation). i dont want any leaks or future problems, so i tightened the clamps as hard as i could get em.... no probs what so ever.

.... think about the flow of the air through the pipe aswell. tightening the clamps will not hinder the airflow enough to cause a problem.

Yea... they have good prices on the exhaust. I got it for $637 at TTR because of it being the last one. The Corsa Sport is not annoying loud and definately can be dealt with. Honestly crusing it's just a little louder than stock. During accel is when it screams. When I started my car up after a bunch of friends and I installed it, they all had a grin on their face and their comments were priceless. Made me really feel like I made the best pick. You can't beat the exhaust at this price. At first to me it looked like every other exhaust out there and once I got it and saw the welds, quality and the oh so pretty exhaust tip I knew that Corsa didn't mess around. They did a lot of R&D and you can totally tell in the build of this exhaust. They even went as far as eliminating the drone in the cabin of the car with their "RSC" technology. Money was well spent with this exhaust

Cliff notes: Corsa Sport Cat-Back purrsss at idle, screams at WOT and is a little louder than stock at crusing speed.

that is EXACTLY the information i wanted to hear. some ppl on the site are questionable when it comes to good feedback and input, but that was worded very well.

i was a bit worried about ordering the sport system because i suspected it might have some high rpm, tin can sound. im fairly confident this is NOT the case. i think i'll bite the bullet now and purchase the corsa catback.

i've been debating for weeks now with some different setups..... but i keep finding myself leaning towards Corsa.

so, i can already anticipate the answer, but just for a final analysis, does it drone inside the cabin?

No drone at all. That's what their RSC Technology supposedly does. I was the same way. I spent months looking at pictures and listening to sound clips before i made this purchase and i am completely satisfied! Once i saw the exhaust out of the packagae i was very impressed. I was impressed at how easy it went on. Used all stock mounts. The torca clamps that are used at the slip joints do not leak. I honestly believe that that's why this exhaust is a little more expensive than others. You definately get what you pay for!!

One is Sport and one is Touring. Sport is louder. GMpartsdirect has a great initial cost on the systems but they tear you apart on shipping. Buy the systems elsewhere.

This is one reason the magnaflow is better has only two places it can leak .
