cosmo short throw in my 2.0
i don't have a prob hitting 5th it feels normal to me, but thats me. I agree on the shift boot one thing at a time i'm a marine combat instructor and i have a class on deck so not a lot of time for the car right now. i'm going to use the stock on but make it shorter an restaple it.
ive had mine installed for atleast a year maybe 1.5 the picture of the shifter on their site is actually my car, i was the first 08 to test install it... FYI i shortened it about an inch from stock height as well so the pictures on their site isnt the stock height.. its shortened!
i havnt had any problems with mine in the last year- year and a half.. food mod for the money

You don't need it if you don't mind hunting for 5th. The reasons for the reverse lockout are A. It stops the shifter from going too far right and missing 5th by a mile and B. To keep idiots from trying to shift into 6th. Second reason there also being why reverse is so far to the right. I disabled the reverse lockout on mine for about 3 days before it pissed me off so bad I put it back.
I'm not sure why you guys hate the fact GM put a reverse lock out in our balts. It's a safety feature put there to help us NOT screw up our tranny's. The way i see it GM was looking ahead, which is why i always go with their vehicles.
I have the TWM and I really like it but as someone mentioned. It feels notchy when driving normally. I miss my stock shifter, it had a great feel to it. The reason why I have my STS is because my reverse lockout broke and wouldn't let me change gears.

and the actual product would look more like cam305 right?
I'm considering buying it, but its odd they would use a shifter that's not the correct height for the display picture on there web site.
