Cracked intermediate shaft bearing housing.

Does the 2005 Lt 2.2 and 2005 2.0 SS have the same bearing housing? Thanks for any input.

if you are referring to the passenger side axle intermediate shaft, only the ss/sc and ss/tc have that shaft, all other models of cobalt use a long axle right from the trans to the hub.

Yup completely different. the 2.2 and 2.4 both us the F23 trans, and different axles, that does not use an intermediate shaft.

Thanks for the info. My bearing housing has got a crack on it that i notice when i dropped the F35 for a new clutch. I've went to all the auto yards around me and no SC or TC.
Where can I find one?

If you can't find someone selling one somewhere, you'll have to order the individual components that you need and then assemble them. The unit as a whole has been discontinued.

Cobalt, ION Intermediate Shaft Kit 25921572

Individual parts listings are at the bottom of that page.

There appears to only be one available no eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-C...M/293612579385

I searched "Cobalt Intermediate Shaft", "Cobalt Intermediate Axle Shaft", "Cobalt Jackshaft", and a few variations using the part number. This is the only one I could find.

I know this is to no use here, but I wish I could help. I have a parts car at home that has one. it might need to be cleaned up a bit. Problem is I am not at home to pull parts form the car....
