sounds about right for a 3" custom. I'd go for it.

Go with a Magnaflow or Borla muffler.

Try Muffler doctor in Sterling Heights, I got a custom 3' cat back for $200 and provided them the muffler (ordered online magnaflow)

Borla sounds good, but I'm pretty sure they don't flow as well as Magnaflow mufflers. But just about any type of "straight through flow" muffler should all flow the same. Get one like that.

He said it was a 3" ...

My catback is gonna run be about $500 (includes price of muffler).... Which is pretty steep but I know the guy does really good work... so what the hell ! I got a magnaflow off ebay for a little over $100. I was thinking of getting a borla but I couldn't find a one with a 3" inlet ! Thought about an HKS or Apexi muffler but would be too out of place on an SS... besides the tips are way too large ! Good luck ! If you get it done ... get pics

I paid more for a 3 inch cat back. I say it's a good deal if it's SS and mandrel bent.
