if the tanks open line is above the coolant level by 2ins how will coolant escape?

above the coolant by 2 inches on the tank not on the heat exchanger...

option b with a restrictor in it wrong size though...too big...you get the idea.

what do you mean what do i mean you tap the heat exchanger for the bleed line coolant moves through the heat exchanger no restrictor in that line from heat exchanger to tank and you have fail

if you have no restrictor in your line then your tank return looks like the video i posted. this isn't something that i'm pulling out of my ass it's gm research from years ago that has been proven.

go the ced website, what it is, is an insert you put inside the hose that makes the passage smaller, then you plug that hose end with the restrictor into the a barb fitting, (1/8th thread) and then that barb fitting replaces the stock HE bleed plug.

Yeah I did some research on another forum and have all that figured out now. What does your one bracket look like? The one on the closer left hand side of the tank.
