cx racing (small one) clean install w (pics)
summer is here boys and girls time to start thinking about cooling mods and bigger pullies!
so i decided to get the smaller one after i seen few have actually scraped theres going in & out driveways....
let me tell you it is in no way "small" it is perfect its shorter than the black flap
enough talking heres the pics...
oh and the mounting tabs... its almost like it was made for the cobalt
total install less than one hour, no bumper removal...
what more could you ask for?

$188.29 w ca. tax & shipping ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Alumi...3911.m14.l1318
dont know yet literally just got done havent even put the oil back in yet (changed oil also)
couldent wait to post
install was a joke... (layed on back and fucked around for a hour done... PS. im a mech so i laugh at these kinds of install... i think for my next actual challenge im going to put some slugs in while the motor is still in the car... that will be "fun")
oh just for some added info i routed the flow to use stock intercooler first then cx racing... because while using the ac the condensor is in front of the intercooler forcing hot air by the heat exchanger (good engineering GM
) so it will get heated by that and then cooled again by the cx right before it flows to the manifold...

3. the fitting's
4. size "looks" the same but ??? if it is...
heres the two side by side..........

after looking at them i belive the c a one is a single core as well that one end tank threw me off but looking at the other side you can tell its single

I like how the title says Clean Install! It really looks great.
I wouldn't refer to it as small. It is still huge. It is also a dual pass unit. It is 100x better then the large CX Racing unit people have been Frankensteining to their cars.

up date on performance...
i live in the desert the last week it has been between 100-105 ambient
i run meth, dual pass, and he
problems solved i cant even get the iat2 to break 140... after 1-4 freeway pull...

how many inches thick is that? I curently have my license plate hanging from the core support (**** Ohio) and i dont know if any airflow will be getting to the h/e. i dont know where else to put the damn plate either
did you have to fab your own brackets / hangers or did it come with them?

stuck a hose in the fill tube and opened both bleeder factory and aftermarket and let her blow... then tightend the bleeders while water was still gushing out of them... then added water wetter... no coolant till winter time... end result no air what so ever in the system the level is all the way to the cap no air at all...
