So how would you know if it's stretched or not? All the manuals I've read and everyone I know has told me till they were blue in the face that I should always replace them. I didn't in my Saturn 1.9 twin cam but this car is worth more broken than that car was running, so I approached it differently.

My engine is used, so I could imagine me re-using bolts (which I'm not comfortable doing), but If I were spending money building a brand new engine, I wouldn't skimp out on anything.
