Damn... CEL w/ my CAI

Last night while driving home in the rain my newly installed Injen CAI kicked the CEL on.

I was pissed, after about 160 miles of driving I thought I would be one of the lucky ones.

My question, could the rain have anything to do with the CEL. I didn't hit ANY puddles (it wasn't like a down-pour, just a rain) Or is this just the LEAN code?

The car Runs Fine, no hesitation or anything so...

Lastly and most importantly...

Have we confirmed whether or not Stage 1 Flash will help this?

Thanks,
Rich

Do I need to take it to a shop to figure out what the code is? Is there a simpler way? And how long would it take to clear itself?

you can reset the computer, by disconnecting the battery for a while, like 10 15, then reconnect it. and see if it comes back on. you could also just go buy a 19.99 code reader and clear it yourself. and let us know what code it is or look it up and see what the problem may be.

Nope...

I wish.

Some one mentioned that the stage 1 flash fixed the CEL... WooHoo.

Where can I get an ODB II Reader/Clearer ASAP?

Ohh wow... damn...

When I get home tonight, I am going to disconnect the battery. Retighten all of the clamps and see if that helps anything.

It's way too early to tell if the relash will fix the CEL, sometimes it didn't show up for weeks.

the cel will go off for a bit but the code stays...the light will come back when a retest is made by the comp or bad signals are found through sensors....bring it in to the dealer....not tryin to be an ass but rule number 1 dont buy the first year a car comes out...seems everyone is 05...not sayin 06 dont have any but the little bugs could be worked out, happened to my friend with the SRT-4, his was an 03 and had probs and my girl has an 05 and knock on wood nothin yet....Good luck fixing the stuff all i can say is dealer, dont mess with it if u dont kno wat ur doin....

not that I did scientific testing, but the cel seems to appear when it is cold and damp out, has anyone noticed that southern cars dont seem to have it as much as northerns and more in winter than summer last year...when it warmed up here the cel went off then it got cold again and damp and came back on, I think the cold damp DENSER air is effecting it a LOT!
