Darksun doing 160 with passenger

OK my haters heres my vid. 205/55/16's in the front plus a 175 pound passenger holding the camera phone. I know its not good quality but its clear enough to see ****. I don't know it you guys can here the sound of me bounce off the limiter twice and get kicked down to 157 but listen for it right before my friend moves the camera over to the rpms to see them stuck at 6000 rpms thats when you can here the car rattle like a bastard if the volumes up enough. And I already know even after me posting up this vid haters will still try and find some other excuse to why its not tru so knock your selves out.

What the hell! Why would you go close to 160mph anyway!!! You and your passenger are dumbasses, do you feel the need to go that fast on the hwy...

It's cool man, do whatever you do....Your just taking the SS to its very limit and one thing goes wrong and your done and whoever else is involved in it!

I am not saying I don't speed.. I have taken my SS to 125mph but is it really a bragging game...No

Well I made a claim people called me out so i made a vid. You think i like going up to 160? with the extra weight in the car this time it wasn't as stable plus it took longer. But I did What I had to do. IF it helps any There was not on sigle car or soul on the stretch of highway I used plus I did it at 12:50 am. I knew the risk and so did my friend. If i could have taped it myself i would have but after seeing how much i needed two hands on the steering wheel Theres no way i would try and video tape that by my self.

Thats cool man, at least you did it late where the roads were clear...BUT what wheels do you have on your car? Just out of curiosity...

trust me bro you don't want to know. The 160 was bad enough but the tires I used is a whole other story. I musta been out my mind doing this **** so many times but it was bothering me. I was a lucky case since I've done it and people know the car can go that high if it has to there shouldn't be any need for others to follow suit. Well atleast thats what i'd like to believe.

Correcting for tire size, it ends up 155mph. Never the less way too fast for public streets and probably way above the speed rating of those tires.

HEy at this point I'll take what i can get outta you guys but if I had a better camera you'd be able to see me hold 160 for a while, while the rpms keep goin up more than I hit the fuel cut. At this point though it don't matter Anymore to me I posted a vid and it will be taken as what ever.
P.S If the haters keep up and my pride kicks back in I'll throw my stockers back on the front and do it again. Man you people don't quit. STill it don't change the fact that I said theres a fuel cut limiter worked into the cars programing. That was the original point but I got side tracked and it got changed to if i could do 160 or not.

I wasn't trying to hate. Just letting you know that the tire size changes your speedometer reading and that you are crazy for trying that. (I'm sure you were aware of the last part )

Nice.

Ok, now that youve done it there is no need to do it again cuz Youve already done it.

160 is pretty damn fast, my dads C6 only does 180 at altitude so your pretty damn close to vette speed. Again, nice run. It's weird that it has a cut off at 160.

I hear you man and point taken. I tried to lower the risks as much as possible but there will always be some when doing things of this nature. As we all no a car can kill a person at 30mph as easily as 160. Its not right or fair but thats how the world works. Sorry for your loss if it means anything at all coming from a person like me.

with your tire and wheel size combination you ARE NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO 160mph

i like how you say you went out and swapped the tires/wheels though to try and debunk your earlier statement cause you didn't think the speedo was that far off.

If you ever lived where we did you would know there is not a living soul out there on the parkway he was on, and it is safe unless you hit a deer .

no speeding is safe but its a little more rational to do it on that pkway than anywhere else.

(wait did I say people were speeding..... nah that never happens)

"i never thought a cobalt driver would be so stupid"
-----------And your the perfect driver because?---------------

HEY SELFINFLICTION! How you doing buddy? Good I hope. Did you get a good night sleep? I knew you would go to bed early last night and get plenty of rest so you could wake up this mornning full of pep so you could come hate on me this wonderful morning.

Folks this man right here is a hater through and through. No matter what you do or how much proof you have people like him will always find somthing to say your wrong about or is fake. God bless people like him, they keep me on my toes. So even if you want to look at it through a die hard Darksun ***** riders eyes I had my 205/55/16's off the back of the car in the front and Had and extra 175 pounds in the car. Show a vid of me maxing out my speedo. But even so call BS cause guy says because of my tire size I was only doing like 140 MPH. Totally forgetting that my original argument was that I said the cobalt ss/sc does have a fuel cut worked into the programing at 160 and i can make the car hit it. And even if a hater like him wants to say i did only like 155mph cause of my tire size thats why I put a passenger in my car to make them feel dumb cause do you honestly think that by droping 175 pounds out my car if i made it all the way to 155mph acording to selfinflictions logic that i couldn't get 160mph with the car 175 pounds lighter? Nah forget it selfinfliction your right the videos a fake I never made than run hell i don't even own a cobalt ss/sc. I never went those speeds. I was sitting in a base cobalt in a parking lot and moved the speedo needles with my fingers than photo shoped them out, added some wind noise and voila! Instant 160mph vid. You got me selfinfliction, you are the man. Hell I'm with you i don't even think the cobalt ss/sc can get over 100mph let alone 160. But I'll go along with what ever you say since your always right. Alright man let me get outta here i have to go. Take it easy.

well basically cause of the fuel cut. It wasn't rpm limited i think its speed limited.

I thought we didn't have a speed limiter. But dude, an extra 500 rpm would give us roughhly like 10 more mph right? And if they ever come out with the staged kits from GM and have a raised rev limiter, maybe approaching close to 175-180.....of course with lots of power under the hood to get the car moving that fast.
