Thanks to everyone who understand, we do what we can, but there are limitations.

I wouldn't blame TTR for it... that's a little too much and not TTR's fault.
that really does look horrible i would never buy that intake.

A note just like MarcS stated. We sell the Injen intake, just like all the other vendors on this forum. We ship you what Injen ships us. We are not changing this part once we receive it. It is Injen's design.

Just like the K&N and their CEL. How can the retailer be responsable for the CEL that comes on?

We will gladly return any un-opened, not-used/installed item, all returns must follow the terms and conditions on the website.

This issue is really between the purchaser and the manufacture, if you dont like the design; As we only sell their product. Many websites wouldnt even have a picture close to the actual item.

We are just the easy ones to get a hold of, so that is why are responsable as why these have a dimple?

Again, we will gladly return any item, as long as it follows the terms and agreements.

I agree completely, you can't re-sell a used item, so you couldn't take a return on an installed intake, all I'm saying is it would probably be easier to forward all his complaints and comments to Injen, as you are the middleman in the deal, and can deal with them directly more easily than a coustomer can.

I know its one of your suppliers so you couldn't really say it..but cmon, call it what you will dent/dimple/crush/peckerslap it looks like crap

Lol, thats funny as hell. It doesn't fit so we hit it with a hammer?
Just the old saying I guess, "Hammer it to fit, paint it to match!"

I got a K&N over a month ago, and paid attention to the distance of the tube insertion as posted here and NO CEL yet! It fits well and looks good, and I LOVE the whine.

I feel sorry for TTR, they arent to blame, send that ghetto pipe back to Injen.

TTR is not at blame. simple as that. the reasoning has been repeated again and again.

i just orded an Injen intake from TTR recently (knowing about the dimple), and i don't really care. as long as there is no dent somehwere in the dyno as well, im happy

just something to add tho... Injen has messed up terribly. that is a bad design to fix a product that was designed poorly in the first place.

I cant bolive that Injen made that POS and then Fd it up more and called it fixed.

And leav TTR alon already! They didnt dent your intake and call it good! Injen did!

I say you all e-mail them the same e-mail copied over and over agen on the same day and flood there call center for a week strait and see if that gets any thing done.

And stop buying the intakes!

If there not selling they will ether fix it or stop making it. Its that simple people!!!!!!!!

Im not going to buy one untill its redone the right way. No other company had to "dimple" there intake to clear the hood and some are made with larger pipeing to.

The parts and production costs fopr an intake like this are low. If they wherent then how do you explain the 15 doller intake I got off ebay for my cavailer that was almost an exact copy of Injens desing?
Your paying 200-260 dollers for the development and testing they do befor they start selling the intakes. Your paying for fit and finish!
And from what I see here your not geting it!

But hay what do I know? Im just an SS S/C owner with the cash to pay for an intake that will not be ordering one till I find one that I like. And Injen is not going to be that intake till its made the right way!

Later.

Well, I got the injen replacement pipe. And mine doesnt have the "dent" in it. When comparing it to the old version, the new one is just a lil shorter and the bend it maybe 2 degrees different. The fitment is fairly well. I applied edge-guard to everything i thought to possibly rub the intake. Now after driving around with it on for 3 days, i open my hood and see that the Top of the intake is scratched. The bracket that attachs the hood support hits my intake. Anyone know how to fix this?

OK, here's my question, has anyone that received the intake actually put it on instead of sit and look at the "dent" and bitched about it? If so, is there a CEL or not? because, in my opinion, the "dent" isnt the WORST POSSIBLE THING that you could have, even though it isnt exactly attractive. My vote is, that if the intake doesn;t throw a CEL, and if it fits good, then why complain? Sure, it costs alot of money, but i think you can deal with a little dent in your intake piping. This is still going to be the intake i buy, dent or no dent. i always liked Injen, and was completely satisfied with the intake i had on my Civic, so i am going to go back to them, as for everyone else, if you cant stand the "dent", go to another manufacturer... is that so hard???

Well the pics of the intake with the dent in the first few posts are of my car & yes I'm running it, and no I have not gotten any CEL at all in 2 months & I've drove in the rain, on a 400 mile trip & back and forth to work each day but I do have the STG 2 with the reflash

I think this intake has been covered from all angles & like you said if you don't like the dent don't buy it walla !

I just posted pics so people can see it & the dent is not what bothers me it's the poor fitment.

I think it's time to kill this thread :O

Well, if theres no CEL, (i plan on getting stage 2 as soon as i can also) then i dont think there is any issue. the only other thing i was worried about was the fitment, but they seemed to have solved that too, so i am going to go ahead and order mine soon, because the black one doesnt look too shabby, even if there is a "dent" in it, so what the hell, who cares if people dont like the looks of it. i think it looks fine, and if it helps my car out more, then it sounds even better
