Difference btween 2.8 & 2.9?

Since I 'm getting a custom tune and 60# injectors, how much of a benefit would I see going with a 2.8 instead of a 2.9? I will eventually get some cooling mods but not right away. Should I go with a 2.85 instead?

Would a 2.85 be a good compromise? I know heat is an issue when going smaller. I always say I'm not going to go crazy with a new car but the last one is in my sig. More safe/reliable power is always good. I know alot of it will be i the tune.

go with a 2.8 the heat is not anything to write home about and if you want to be a little cooler run another h/e or d/p endplate maybe meth if your feeling frisky

if your running meth untuned, or telling someone to run it untuned, then yes, you dont, i was one of the very first, like second or third on this site to run it, and i ran it for a long time.

Besides the obvious stupidity of running a more fuel into your system without tuning it, why would u run meth untuned? it removes alot of its abilities, meth doesn alot more then just cool.

we had to remove a decent amount of fuel along with adding timing when me and james setup meth, running it wide open with no tune is stupid, can cause bogging, and really make the expenditure on meth pointless.

if it was ment to just be slapped in and ran, not only would they not suggest greatly that u tune it right in the instructions, but they also wouldnt give you a smt-6 to tune it in.

yes, but you can do it if you don't have access to tune and you will be fine. Sure you won't take advantage of its other properties but it can and has been done.

But it can be used without tuning. You won't see the same benefits.

Back on topic: I think I may go with a 2.85 and call it a day.

2.8 will completely max your 42 injectors, just get 60s and a 2.6.. if you drive the hell out of your car everyday of course its gonna take more abnormal beating. any pulley size 2.9 and below you should get cooling mods to keep your yielding the most hp gains. if you have 60s, personally i would go with a 2.6, if you drive hard everyday 2.7 might be better not to say 2.6 is bad
