I wouldn't drive down the street in anything less than premium, what if you end up needing an extra ooomph to merge, or get out of a situation and knock? Not worth the risk.

Also fwiw, premium just went up to just over $4.75/Gallon here so feel better haha.

when i had the cobalt with stage 2 and I was driving from the east coast to the west coast i was running low on gas, only station around for like 100kms only had regular (87 octane) so i had to put that in my car. Car defently didnt like it, kept struggling and the CEL came on a one point but turned off once i set the cruise control.

Dont put anything lower unless you are tuned for it. For example, i have 3 different tunes for my truck:

Fuel Economy - 87 octane
Stock tune - 91 octane
Performance - 91 octane
Nitrous - 94 octane

Truck runs fine with 87 if im switched to that tune, but i wouldnt dare putting 87 in if i was on the other tunes.
