ottp 3" intake ?
hey has anyone had problems with there intake at all? we are having some problems with tuning because my ecu is telling my tb to shut causing my car to struggle a little when i first push the gas. it only happens when starting to move and shifting then pushing the gas again! wot and everything else is fine
anyways only thing that we are thinkin is that either the maf location is off or something with the k&n filter is causing the air readings to be off so my car acts funny.
anybody got any other ideas...im putting my stock intake back in to see if that makes the problem go away...if so then ottp is gonna get a call!
we have been searching like crazy to see what else it could possibly be but nothing seems right

as far as the filter no i hardly put any oil on it at all. it does have a dry sleeve on it tho

i have had my intake on for about 2 weeks now with zero issues... i'm running the gms2 tune. probably a stupid suggestion but is there any way your maf sensor is facing the wrong way? i recall thinking it would fit both ways when i swapped mine...
if this were the case though the car would probably run way worse than you're describing

Well, I have the OTTP 3" too, and have not experienced any issues like that. You may have already done this, but inspect the couplers to make sure there are no tears, as well as to verify that they are on correctly and not just barely hanging onto the pipe.
Definitely looking forward to the stock intake results! Good luck man.

ya vince is telling me and matt that it is somewhere between the filter and tb that there is a problem... and i have checked and made sure that it is on at least an inch before i clamped it down... vince wants pics to see for himself
oh ok... i have no suggestions then. good luck
jw did you have to cut some off of the silicon coupler that connected to the tb to get the first pipe to fit over the brake lines with no rubbing?

like 15 but vince was a bad ass and sent a reflash with the stock intake last night and i put it on and my car runs fine now...so what the hell could it of been? the piping? the filter? i mean your running the same intake no problem....
Gremlins... I had all kinds of trouble with my Rebel intake, which is why I switched to this OTTP one. I dunno, maybe air was in fact escaping or being introduced after the MAF somewhere... somehow.
