different years different stuff?

I'm looking into buying one of the lsj balts and wanna know performance wise what the differences where through the years if there was any?

wasnt sure if they did anything different or if its a identical motor in all years aside from the g85 tranny in some

well they're all gonna be the same motor, but i bet it would be uncommon to find a used AND stock LSJ 'balt.

no nothing performance wise that i know off. i think all they changed where the wheels,the steering wheel and radio.

the couple i found have like intake tinted tails nothing crazy

07's have a different OS compared to the 05-06's . 2007 have a 32 bit system , 05-06's are 16 bit.

and how does this effect tuning? is it the same or do you have to use different modules. and mods will still be just as effective as other years?

That's not true. 2004 redlines have a bad tune (supposedly). G85 or comp pkg redlines are a little faster to 60 than their non-lsd counterparts. And finally C&D numbers have the redline a tenth of a second faster to 60 (probably the 17's vs. 18's as the rl is heavier). Check out the under 25k C&D competition that had the comp. redline and the cobalt ss.

I'm not sure how it effects tuning , but i know that GM stage tunes for the 07 are different than the 05's and 6's . It took GM awhile to release the 07's stage tune , thats the only reason i remember. People were getting impatient.
